Choose the Right Construction: VPI or Cast Resin

VPI transformers use vacuum-pressure-impregnated open windings and provide a serviceable, cost-effective solution for many commercial and industrial applications. Cast-resin transformers use epoxy-encapsulated windings and are preferred where moisture resistance, low maintenance and enhanced environmental protection are required.

• Low- and medium-voltage designs based on approved project specifications.

• Three-phase configurations and project-specific designs.

• Copper or aluminum windings.

• Class 180 (H) or Class 220 (R) insulation systems, as applicable.

• Air natural (AN) or air forced (AF) cooling.

• Indoor or outdoor enclosures, including NEMA 1 and NEMA 3R options.

• Customized primary and secondary voltages, vector groups, impedance, taps, temperature rise and accessories.

• Temperature monitoring, cooling fans, anti-condensation heaters and other project-specific accessories.

Standards, Certification and Factory Testing

Applicable low-voltage models can be supplied under UL File E553155 within the covered certification scope. Other dry-type transformers can be designed to applicable IEEE, ANSI or IEC standards and customer specifications. Certification, efficiency, enclosure type and testing requirements are confirmed for the exact model and destination market.

We can provide routine factory testing, drawings, data sheets, nameplate information, test reports and export documentation according to approved project requirements.
